Reviews for Goa Indisches Restaurant Uberlingen
Review highlights
Based on 426 reviewsGoa Indisches Restaurant Überlingen is widely recognized for its authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine, with many patrons highlighting the quality and presentation of the dishes. The restaurant’s ambiance thoughtfully blends traditional Indian decor with the charm of its historic German building, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. Service is generally described as friendly and attentive, with staff often praised for their warmth towards guests, including pets. However, some reviews note slower service during busier times and a limited variety in the menu, which may affect overall dining experience for those expecting broader options. Additionally, the restaurant’s cash-only policy is occasionally mentioned as a minor inconvenience. Overall, Goa Indisches Restaurant Überlingen is appreciated for delivering consistently good food and a pleasant dining environment, making it a favored choice among visitors seeking genuine Indian flavors in the region.
The BEST Indian restaurant I've found in Germany and over the years I've been to a few! The waitress was very kind and attentive. She also treated our dog like royalty. The food was excellent, delicately flavoured and beautifully presented. The interior is a perfect balance of India and historic German (the building is a listed building). The traditional Indian embroidered tablecloths are an inspired touch and really lend the space a classy but fresh and fun feel. Highly recommend this restaurant...great service, food and atmosphere and well priced.
Loved the atmosphere and the food was great! Staff were friendly too.
We ordered veg. Pakoras and main course south indian Lamb dish, Malai Kofta was very good.Garlic naan was disappointing. Never seen a Indian Restaurant with such a small selection of dishes. Service was friendly.
The food is fantastic. The rest of the things made the experience less enjoyable. As we entered we first saw a rather depressed look from the waiter. This is not the first site you want to see. We got our first courses quickly but it took ages for the main courses to arrive. For a family with young kids it's a downer. Anyway, if you ignore all that, the quality of the food is well worth the visit.
Loved the food and service :) We ordered a vegetarian Vorspieseteller for 2 persons and loved it; would definitely recommend for anyone craving Indian starters. We would have preferred a slightly spicier version of the items, but the flavours were authentic, and probably the best we have had in the Bodensee area.. One thing to note is that they take only cash (no card) but the service staff were very accommodating, and even offered that we could pay on our next visit. Luckily, there are ATMs close-by, and we could pay them easily. We wish they would provide with an optional spicy chutney, for the spice cravers among us. Look forward to trying out more items from here on our next visits :)
Very good atmosphere, great food. The service was attentive and friendly. The ambiance was also very pleasant. Will definitely be coming back.
